The Kalutara South Police say a motorcycle ridden by a constable skidded and overturned near Palathota, Kalutara, crashing into a police team en route to training and injuring four people, including the rider.
According to police, the other three injured are trainee police constables.
The accident occurred while the constable, attached to the Police Terrorism Investigation Division, was riding his private motorcycle from Nagoda to attend a training course at the Kalutara Police Training College.
All four injured officers were first admitted to the Kalutara Nagoda Hospital. The constable who was riding the motorcycle, and was in serious condition, was later transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment. (NewsWire)
