Sri Lankan authorities have engaged in discussions with Samsung Heavy Industries, focusing on avenues to further strengthen cooperation in the area of skilled foreign employment.
The matter was discussed during a meeting between Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, and the Global HRM Manager of Samsung Heavy Industries, Jongsam Kim, at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul, South Korea.
Commenting on the discussion, Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra said that as one of Korea’s foremost industrial and engineering companies, Samsung Heavy Industries plays an important role in sectors that welcome skilled foreign professionals, including those from Sri Lanka.
“We discussed avenues to further strengthen cooperation in the area of skilled foreign employment, with the active involvement of our Ministry to ensure smooth and well-coordinated operations. We look forward to continuing our engagement with leading Korean industry partners such as Samsung, as we work together to build productive, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnerships,” the Deputy Minister added.
