Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali has issued a conditional restraining order against Pradeep Charles, Chairman of the United National Self-Employed Traders’ Association and former SJB member, along with YouTubers Nadeesha Amaranath and Thushara Sewwandi.
The order follows a complaint filed by MP Mujibur Rahuman under Section 24 of the Online Safety Act, citing continued publication of defamatory content despite a prior court ruling in his favour.
The restraining order prohibits the respondents from publishing or disseminating the alleged content. All parties have been summoned to appear in court on June 27. (Newswire)
