Iranian ballistic missile strikes overnight targeted Tel Aviv, Haifa and surrounding areas, killing several person and injuring several others, according to local reports.
Fires broke out in multiple buildings following the attacks. Among those affected were two Sri Lankan women.
One woman was evacuated with her host family from a residence south of Tel Aviv after a strong tremor struck the area around 3:30 a.m. Another woman in Bat Yam sustained minor injuries around 4 a.m. when falling glass struck her hand. She is in stable condition.
“We are closely monitoring the situation around the clock,” said Nimal Bandara, Sri Lanka’s ambassador to Israel. “Any Sri Lankan nationals who have been affected or are in danger are urged to contact the Embassy immediately” (Newswire)
