National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Ranjith Udaya Kumara, who was elected as the Chairman of the Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha, has resigned from his position.
It is reported that Gamaethige Ariyadasa has been elected as the new Chairman of the newly established local council.
The appointment was made by the Returning Officer of the Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha, Suranga Ambagahathenna, to fill the vacant position, while a special gazette has also been issued in this regard. (Newswire)
