The shooting targeting a house in Ganemulla last week is a result of the owner refusing to comply with the requests of underworld figures, the Police said.
According to the Police, the owner is a visa officer in Dubai and had opposed providing visas to underworld figures.
As a result, unidentified men had opened fire at his two-storey house in the Amunugoda area in Imbulgoda, Genemulla, on Friday night (11).
No injuries or casualties had been reported in the shooting, while a window and the balcony protection grill were damaged.
Three Police teams have been deployed to conduct investigations into the shooting, based on a complaint filed yesterday in this regard. (Newswire)
