The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has established power in the Mawathagama Pradeshiya Sabha.
SJB candidate Thushara Wijesekera was elected Chairman after securing a majority of votes in the election held during the inaugural session of the local council today.
The SJB had secured a majority of seats at the Mawathagama Pradeshiya Sabha in the 2025 Local Government Election. (Newswire)
