The membership of six members from the opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) party, has been suspended.
According to SJB General Secretary, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, this action was taken due to their support for the National People’s Power in establishing control over the Beruwala Urban Council.
Issuing a statement, Ranjith Madduma Bandara said that this step was initiated by the party’s management and working councils. (Newswire)
