The Department of Meteorology says strong winds of about 55-60 kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern and North-central provinces and the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.
Fairly strong winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected at times elsewhere on the island. (Newswire)
