The Committee on High Posts has approved the appointments of 5 new Ambassadors, a High Commissioner, and a Ministry Secretary.
The appointments were approved during a meeting of the Committee on High Posts held in Parliament last week (24).
Accordingly, the following recommendations by the committee were approved;
- Miss. Sumadhurika Sashikala Premawardhane – Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Indonesia
- Mrs. C.A. Chaminda Inoka Colonne- Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Federative Republic of Brazil
- Mr. Mohamed Rizvi Hassen – High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Maldives
- Mr. L.R.M.N.P.G.B. Kadurugamuwa – Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Turkey
- Mrs. Ruwanthi Delpitiya – Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal
- Mr. Marimuththu K. Pathmanaathan – the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of South Korea
- Miss. Ayesha Jinasena (PC) – Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and National Integration.
The Committee on High Posts is chaired by PM Harini Amarasuriya, and is comprised of MPs Kumara Jayakody, Anil Jayantha, Harshana Nanayakkara, Upali Pannilage, Saroja Savithri Paulraj, Hansaka Wijemuni, Rishad Bathiudeen, Dayasiri Jayasekara, and Nizam Kariapper. (Newswire)
