The Department of Wildlife Conservation says seven new elephant corridors will be opened soon.
Accordingly, the corridors include Puwakthale, Nachchaduwa, Nachchaduwa-Wilpattu, Kunaatuwewa, Pollankale, Balaluwewa, and Hatpatunawa.
The required plans have been prepared based on advice from experts at the University of Peradeniya.
These seven corridors are being opened as a primary step to reduce human-elephant conflict in Sri Lanka. (Newswire)
