The island-wide 48-hour token strike, which was to be launched by train drivers from midnight today (29), has been called off.

The decision has been taken following a discussion between representatives of the Railway Engine Drivers Union and the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport today.

Train drivers were to launch the token strike over various issues, including faulty signal systems. (Newswire)
