Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa, against whom an arrest warrant was issued yesterday, has been granted bail.
MP Namal Rajapaksa was granted bail after appearing before the Hambantota Magistrate’s Court today.
He is reported to have appeared in court, submitting a motion, after having arrived from the Maldives this morning.
The Hambantota Magistrate’s Court yesterday issued the arrest warrant after Namal Rajapaksa had failed to appear for a scheduled hearing.
It was reported at the time that MP Namal Rajapaksa was in the Maldives to attend an event. (Newswire)
