Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, has been granted a service extension.
According to the Army Spokesman, Army Commander Lasantha Rodrigo has been granted a one-year service extension, effective from 01 August 2025.
The service extension has been granted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo was appointed as the 25th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, effective from 31st December 2024.
Prior to his appointment, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo served as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army. (Newswire)
