Softlogic Holdings PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s leading diversified conglomerates, has entered into a strategic partnership with ATUL Auto Limited, India’s fastest-growing three-wheeler manufacturer, to introduce a new range of commercial vehicles to the Sri Lankan market.

ATUL Auto, a brand with over 60 years of experience and presence in more than 24 countries, is renowned for manufacturing durable, fuel-efficient, and easy-to-maintain three-wheelers designed to meet diverse transport needs. Through this partnership, Softlogic will launch three key models tailored to local market demands: the Atul RIK, a petrol-powered, stylish and economical passenger vehicle; the Atul GEM Paxx, a diesel-driven, spacious model suited for commercial transport; and the Atul GEM Cargo, a robust high-load cargo variant built to serve delivery, agriculture, and logistics applications.

This collaboration arrives at a pivotal moment for Sri Lanka, where there is a growing demand for affordable, reliable, and fuel-efficient transport solutions, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and last-mile connectivity. With rising fuel costs and ongoing infrastructure challenges, the market is increasingly prioritising vehicles that combine low maintenance with high efficiency. ATUL’s range, featuring simple mechanical systems, air-cooled engines, and a heavy-duty chassis, is specifically engineered to thrive in challenging conditions, delivering dependable performance and lower operational costs for users.

Mr Neeraj Chandra, Managing Director of ATUL Auto Ltd., stated, “We are proud to collaborate with Softlogic, a respected and progressive business group, to bring ATUL vehicles to Sri Lanka. As a comprehensive three-wheeler specialist, we offer petrol, diesel, LPG, and electric models across both front and rear engine configurations. Our mission is to provide reliable, affordable solutions that empower individuals and businesses alike, contributing to economic growth and enhanced mobility.”

To ensure seamless customer experience, ATUL has already deployed technical experts to Colombo, and a steady supply of spare parts is in place to maintain vehicle uptime. “We are committed not just to delivering quality products, but to establishing a strong aftersales service network from day one,” Mr Chandra added.

Each vehicle introduced under this partnership is backed by a comprehensive 24-month or 25,000-kilometre warranty and supported through Softlogic’s extensive islandwide aftersales network, offering peace of mind to customers nationwide.

Mr Bishry Farook, CEO of Softlogic’s Automotive Sector, highlighted, “This partnership is a key milestone in our strategy to bring innovative and sustainable transport solutions to Sri Lanka. ATUL’s range perfectly balances practicality and dependability, delivering exceptional value for both passenger and cargo segments.”

As the exclusive authorised distributor, Softlogic is poised to lead ATUL’s expansion in Sri Lanka, with immediate vehicle availability and a full-service infrastructure already established. With ambitious plans to become a leader in the diesel passenger and cargo segments, the Softlogic–ATUL partnership represents a significant step forward in accessible, practical mobility solutions, supporting economic development and improving transport efficiency across the island.
