Marawila Police have launched an investigation following a fatal altercation reported on the night of August 3 at the Mudukatuwa beach area.
Police said a clash between two groups escalated, resulting in a stabbing incident that left two individuals injured. One of the victims, a 32-year-old resident of Marawila, was pronounced dead upon admission to the Marawila Hospital.
The other individual is currently receiving treatment, and the body of the deceased has been placed at the hospital mortuary.
Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects involved in the incident, police confirmed. (Newswire)
