The Capital Maharaja Group (CMG) hosted Her Excellency The Honourable Ms. Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, during her 5-day visit to Sri Lanka, at Stein Studios in Ratmalana.
The Governor-General is the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. This is the first visit by a Governor-General of Australia to Sri Lanka.
HE Hon. Sam Mostyn engaged in a vibrant discussion on the topic of “Leadership in a Modern and Multicultural Democracy” in an exclusive interview with Chevaan Daniel, Group Director of the Capital Maharaja Group, that is to be telecast on Wednesday 13th August at 8 pm.
During her visit to Sri Lanka, the Governor-General met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, and members of the Cabinet.
During her visit from August 6-10, the Hon. Governor General also visited a number of areas and engaged in a variety of activities. These included a beekeeping site in Bandaragama funded by Australia’s Direct Aid programme; the Tsunami Museum and Memorial in Hikkaduwa; and the launch of a mobile health unit in Galle.
