Sri Lanka has expressed deep concern over Israel’s decision to seize control of Gaza City, warning it would further escalate violence and worsen the suffering of its people.
The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism came after Israel’s security cabinet on Friday approved a plan to take control of Gaza City, expanding military operations in the war-torn Palestinian territory and drawing strong criticism both domestically and internationally.
The ministry called for an immediate ceasefire and urged all parties to resolve their differences through diplomatic dialogue to achieve sustainable peace. (NewsWire)
