Former member of the Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha, Shantha Mudunkotuwa, who was injured in a shooting reported in Meegoda today, has succumbed to injuries.
According to the Police Spokesman, Mudunkotuwa, who was riding a motorcycle, was shot by unidentified gunmen travelling in a car.
The shooting was reported on Attygalle Road in Meegoda this afternoon.
The injured 46-year-old former councillor was admitted to the Homagama Hospital, after which he succumbed to injuries.
The Meegoda Police is conducting investigations into the shooting. (Newswire)
