A 46-year-old man was killed in an attack at a restaurant in Ihala Madampella, within the Divulapitiya Police Division, early this morning (18).
Police said a group of individuals had assaulted the victim with their hands, feet, wooden poles, and later attacked him with a sharp weapon, leading to his death. Initial investigations revealed that the incident stemmed from a personal dispute that escalated into a heated argument.
The victim, a resident of Ihala Madampella, was pronounced dead, and his body has been placed at the Gampaha Hospital morgue.
The Divulapitiya Police said no arrests have been made so far, but investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects. (Newswire)
