The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) signed an MoU on Tuesday (19) to explore new opportunities for cooperation.
According to the Indian High Commission, the MoU explores opportunities such as information sharing, connecting partners for investment & trade, etc.
The virtual signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of FIEO, led by Dr. Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO and the representatives of NCE, led by Mr. Indra Kaushal Rajapaksha, President, NCE.
The agreement comes on the backdrop of the High Commission of India in Colombo facilitating discussions among various organizations of India and Sri Lanka to promote bilateral economic partnership and identify new areas of cooperation, particularly to support the MSME sector.
One such discussion was facilitated between representatives of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations and the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka in June 2025, leading to the signing of the MoU yesterday. (Newswire)
