Fifty-one Inspectors of Police (IPs) have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) with effect from March 25, the Police Media Division announced.
The promotions, made following a competitive examination, include officers who had served as Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors, and Chief Inspectors. Among those promoted are three female officers and two from the Police Special Task Force (STF).
