Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended his gratitude to Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake for the latter’s greetings on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
In a statement on ‘X’, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine values the friendly relations and cooperation with Sri Lanka, based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to peace and prosperity.
“We are confident that our relations hold potential for further development, bringing benefits to both nations,” he added.
In a letter addressed to the Ukrainian President, extending his greetings for Ukraine’s Independence Day, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said he is confident the longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations will continue to deepen their shared pursuit of peace, progress, and prosperity for their people.
“It is my earnest hope that the challenges and hardships presently confronted by Ukraine would be resolved soon, restoring peace, harmony and stability of the country,” President Dissanayake added. (Newswire)
