Club Wasantha murder case: Tattoo studio owner granted bail

The Homagama High Court has granted bail to Dulan Sanjula, the owner of a tattoo studio in Athurugiriya, who was arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Surendra Wasantha Perera, also known as ‘Club Wasantha.’

The court ordered his release on a cash bail of Rs. 150,000 and two sureties totaling Rs. 250,000, along with conditions including a travel ban and surrendering of his passport.

The shooting incident occurred in July last year, during the opening of the tattoo studio, resulting in the deaths of Surendra Wasantha Perera and another individual named Nayana Wasula Wijeratne.

The court also granted bail to other suspects who had been in remand for aiding and abetting the murders, under similar conditions. Investigations into the incident are ongoing. (NewsWire)
