The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government says steps will be taken to install fingerprint machines in every government institution.
According to Minister of Public Administration, Chandana Abeyratne, fingerprint machines have already been installed in many government offices, including Divisional Secretariats.
He further said that the primary aim of this initiative is to regulate employee attendance and departures, while also minimizing irregularities related to reporting for duty. (Newswire)
