Several spells of showers will occur in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya districts today, while a few showers may occur in the Western and North-western provinces and the Galle and Matara districts.
According to the Department of Meteorology, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in the Ampara, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts after 2.00 pm.
Strong winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in the North-central and North-western provinces, and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
