Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) launched a symbolic strike at the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital today (02) in protest against the conduct of the hospital director.
The GMOA said the Health Ministry had previously agreed to take necessary measures regarding the issue, but authorities have failed to implement those assurances.
As a result, the strike is being carried out from 8 a.m. today until 8 a.m. tomorrow. Emergency and life-saving services will continue, but all routine medical services at the hospital will be disrupted, the GMOA confirmed. (Newswire)
