Two people were killed in a collision between a lorry and a bowser transporting fuel near the Mirigama entrance of the Central Expressway late last night, police said.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. at the 41st-kilometer post. The lorry driver died at the scene, while the bowser’s assistant succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.
