Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe met with a group of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya central committee members at his Colombo residence on Thursday (Sept. 4).
The delegation briefed Wickremesinghe on what they alleged were attempts by the NPP government to misuse the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) Act to wrongfully arrest their leader, Udaya Gammanpila, who is currently overseas. (Newswire)
