The Hakmana Police have launched an investigation after a 74-year-old woman was killed in Baduwatta on Thursday (04 Sept).
According to the Police, the victim was attacked inside her home after being lured away from a nearby religious function and was later found dead.
Her body has been placed at the Matara Hospital morgue. The Hakmana Police are conducting further investigations to apprehend the suspect. (Newswire)
