Authorities have discovered hand grenades and ammunition at a site in Middeniya Thalawa, Hambantota, where chemicals used for manufacturing crystal methamphetamine had previously been found.
Police said officers from the Western Province North Crimes Division and the Special Task Force recovered five foreign-made hand grenades, 17 rounds of T-56 ammunition, and three 12-bore cartridges. The explosives were hidden in a freshly dug pit near a manioc cultivation on the property. (Newswire)
