Another stock of chemicals, suspected to be used in the production of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), was discovered this morning (07) on a property in Netolpitiya, Tangalle.
Acting on information from local residents, Tangalle Police conducted a special raid on a property near the Welivenna crossroad in Netolpitiya. During the operation, officers found a quantity of white chemical substances on the premises.
Police said the chemicals are believed to be used in the production of ICE. Reports indicate that these substances closely resemble those discovered in a previous raid on a property in Thalawa, Middeniya, which were also suspected of being intended for ICE production.
Authorities added that the chemicals may have been brought to the location and left there approximately four months ago. The seized stock is scheduled to be taken to Tangalle Police for further investigation. (NewsWire)
