Police uniforms, field gear, and fabric resembling official attire were discovered at a property in Thalawa Dakuna, Middeniya, during an ongoing investigation into suspected meth production.
Middeniya Police recovered the items on September 8 during a search and excavation operation. The site had previously yielded a stash of chemicals believed to be imported for methamphetamine production.
On September 6, the Police Special Task Force also found five live grenades, 17 live T-56 rounds, two 12-bore cartridges, and one empty casing at the same location.
The investigation is linked to five suspects deported from Indonesia on August 30. They are believed to be members of an organized crime syndicate involved in narcotics trafficking.
All recovered items are now in police custody. Further investigations are underway.
