Hilton hotel set on fire by protestors in Nepal (Video)

Protesters in Nepal have set fire to multiple government buildings, including the Parliament, the Prime Minister’s residence, and the homes of several ministers, as violent demonstrations continue to escalate across the country.

The Kathmandu Post reports that demonstrators also vandalized and torched the Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu, reportedly owned by a leader of the ruling party.

Amid the unrest, the Nepali army has begun evacuating government ministers from their residences by helicopter.

Senior security officials told The Kathmandu Post that army units have been deployed to protect the Parliament building, while top government figures are now under military protection in barracks. (Newswire/Agencies)
