The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has granted bail to former director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa, who was in remand custody.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva today ordered that Halloluwa be released on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.
The court further imposed an overseas travel ban on the suspect and instructed that his passport be surrendered to the court.
Thusitha Halloluwa was previously remanded in connection with a shooting incident involving his vehicle in the Narahenpita area.
He had been arrested on 19 August during a raid conducted by the Colombo Crimes Division in the Colpetty area. (Newswire)
