Landslide warnings have been issued for areas across five districts in Sri Lanka following rainfall exceeding 75 mm in the past 24 hours.
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued Level 1 (Yellow) alerts for the Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat and surrounding areas in Colombo; Ingiriya and Horana in Kalutara; Dehiowita in Kegalle; Kotmale in Nuwara Eliya; and Ratnapura Divisional Secretariat and nearby areas.
Residents have been urged to remain alert for possible landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures, and ground subsidence. (Newswire)
