The Illankai Tamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) has sent a letter to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake requesting a meeting to address the Tamil national question.
In the letter addressed to the President, the ITAK points out that despite the President having promised in his election manifesto to address the issue, no steps seem to have been taken in that regard.
The ITAK further said that, as the premier Tamil political party, it is ready to engage in discussions with the government to resolve the matter, and for the President to allocate a time for the meeting. (Newswire/ image file pic)
