Sri Lanka has participated for the second time in Saudi Arabia’s premier food and beverage trade fair, Foodex Saudi 2025, showcasing a Sri Lanka Pavilion.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Saudi Arabia, successfully organized the Sri Lanka Pavilion at Foodex Saudi 2025, held from 21–24 September 2025 in Riyadh.
Foodex Saudi served as a gateway for international suppliers to access the rapidly growing Saudi market. The event attracted a wide range of global buyers and distributors, providing valuable opportunities for Sri Lankan exporters to showcase their products to a highly targeted audience.
Nine Sri Lankan companies from the food and beverage sector participated in the pavilion: Aussee Oats Milling (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo Export & Import Agencies (Pvt) Ltd, Norfolk Foods (Pvt) Ltd, Lanka Guardian Commodities Exports (Pvt) Ltd, Aqua ’N Green Ltd, Jayalanka Suppliers, Eco Paints (Pvt) Ltd, Ranre International (Pvt) Ltd, and Bughary Bio Spices (Pvt) Ltd.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion highlighted a diverse product portfolio, including processed foods, oats, coconut kernel products, spices, fish and poultry, grocery items, and food-grade technologies. A dedicated EDB stall further promoted these categories, positioning Sri Lanka as a reliable supplier to the Middle Eastern market.
Supermarket representatives and major buyers were also invited, enabling Sri Lankan exporters to engage in productive B2B meetings during the event. These sessions provided a vital platform to establish direct connections with potential business partners, strengthening trade prospects and market entry opportunities.
Sri Lanka’s participation at Foodex Saudi 2025 was highly successful, further consolidating trade linkages and expanding business opportunities for the country’s food sector in Saudi Arabia and the wider region. (Newswire)
