Sri Lankan MPs to attend Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Barbados

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC), organized annually by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) to discuss global parliamentary and political issues, is scheduled to be held this year from October 5 to 12 in Barbados, hosted by the Barbados branch of the CPA.

The conference will be attended by parliamentarians and parliamentary staff from Commonwealth countries.

Saroja Savithri Paulraj, as Chairperson of the Women Parliamentarians’ Caucus (WPC) of the Sri Lankan Parliament, will lead the delegation. The team also includes Mr. Sugath Wasantha De Silva (MP), Attorney-at-Law Ms. Sagarika Atauda (MP), other government and opposition MPs, and Secretary-General of Parliament Ms. Kushani Rohanadeera.

With a variety of sub forums and workshop sessions scheduled throughout the week, Minister Saroja Savithri Paulraj and her delegation are set to leave early tomorrow (October 5) for Barbados, looking forward to exchanging ideas with fellow parliamentarians, sharing experiences, and bringing back valuable insights to benefit the people of Sri Lanka.
