Former Member of Parliament Sajin Vass Gunawardena appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning to provide a statement related to the ongoing investigation into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
According to Sajin Vass Gunawardena, he was summoned by the CID to inquire about telephone calls made to former President Maithripala Sirisena during the Easter attacks, which included a call from him.
“Investigation into the Easter Attack. @MaithripalaS, all incoming phone numbers is under investigation. One number from India, which I have used, was amongst the numbers. Thus, the reason to verify this by the CID,” Sajin Vass Gunawardena said, in a post on ‘X’. (Newswire)
