Former Minister and National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa has been informed by the Tangalle Police to appear again today (12) to provide a statement.
However, Weerawansa told media that he had notified the police of his inability to appear today and would do so on another date.
Meanwhile, the former minister said he will file a complaint with the National Police Commission and pursue legal action over the alleged distortion and public dissemination of the statement he had earlier given to the Tangalle Crimes Division regarding the political affiliations of an individual known as “Sanā from Puwakdanda.” (Newswire)
