A delegation from S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, led by Acting Warden Asanka Perera, met with renowned philanthropist and Old Trinitian Eng. Nahil Wijesuriya to convey the College community’s deep appreciation for his extraordinary contribution of Rs. 600 million towards the Fourth Phase of the Senior Quadrangular Project.
The delegation included Imran Hassan, Honorary Secretary of the S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia Old Boys’ Association (OBA), Major Raajiv Wanigasekera, Honorary Vice President of the OBA, and Senaka De Fonseka, Chairman of the 175th Anniversary Celebrations Organising Committee.
During the meeting, the Acting Warden presented a Letter of Appreciation to Eng. Wijesuriya, formally acknowledging his outstanding generosity and long-standing commitment to advancing education. The group also briefed him on preparations for the College’s 175th Anniversary celebrations, outlining the progress and timelines of ongoing development projects.
In recognition of his generous support, the OBA invited Eng. Wijesuriya to attend the Thomian Dance 2025 as Guest of Honour. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 25th October 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. (Newswire)
