
All opposition Members of Parliament have been summoned to a special briefing today (06) to discuss the second budget of the current government and the opposition’s strategic response.
According to SJB General Secretary and MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the session is scheduled to take place at 2:00 PM in Colombo.
The briefing will include presentations by several experts, who are expected to provide insights on the national economy, the upcoming budget, and the country’s future trajectory.
MP Madduma Bandara stated that the purpose of the session is to equip opposition MPs with key information and talking points ahead of the upcoming parliamentary budget debate.
As Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa is currently on an official visit to India, the session is being held under his guidance, with all opposition MPs formally invited to attend.
