Seven Sri Lankan drug traffickers hiding in the Middle East have expressed willingness to surrender to local authorities, Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala said on Saturday.

The minister made the announcement while attending the Colombo District operations of the national anti-drug campaign, “A Nation United,” held at the Colombo District Secretariat.

Wijepala said the suspects had contacted Sri Lankan authorities on Friday (7), revealing the locations of their operations and agreeing to end their involvement in narcotics trafficking. (Newswire)
