Naadha Gama, one of Sri Lanka’s leading contemporary music brands, will stage its largest international performance yet when it brings the Naadha Gama Orchestral Edition to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on Oct. 31, 2026.

The concert is expected to draw more than 6,000 people, making it the first Sri Lankan production of this scale to be held at the iconic outdoor venue. Naadha Gama was founded by a group of young musicians and has grown over seven years into a prominent concert and festival brand known for its innovative staging and immersive audience experiences.

The Melbourne show will feature an expanded orchestral lineup led by Eshan Denipitiya and include performances by Methun SK, Dhanith Sri, Supun Perera, Dinesh Gamage, Kanchana Anuradhi, Ridma Weerawardena and Manuranga Wijesekara. Organizers say the concert builds on the success of the Naadha Gama 360° series, which sold out Sri Lanka’s largest indoor auditorium in January 2025.

The Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with a capacity of 13,000, has hosted global acts such as ABBA, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, AC/DC, Metallica and A.R. Rahman. While the venue is known for major cultural events, it has never before welcomed a Sri Lankan concert of this scale.

Organizers said the milestone is especially significant for Melbourne’s large Sri Lankan community, which has supported the group’s international expansion.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Nov. 28, 2025. (Newswire)
