It has been decided not to hold the Committee Stage budget debates in Parliament tomorrow and the day after, taking into account the prevailing disaster situation in Sri Lanka.
This decision was made during the Party Leaders’ meeting held in Parliament this afternoon (27).
Accordingly, Parliament is scheduled to reconvene on Monday, and it has been decided that sittings will continue into the night on both Monday and Tuesday.
On those two days, the scheduled debates will be held from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, while the debates that were to be held tomorrow and the day after will instead take place from 6.00 pm until night on Monday and Tuesday. (Newswire)
