The Railway Department has suspended all train services on every route from 6 a.m. today (Nov. 28), due to the ongoing extreme weather conditions across the country.
Additional General Manager (Operations) Chandrasena Bandara said the decision was made as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety, with continuous heavy rain increasing the risk of landslides, flooding, and fallen trees along multiple railway lines. (Newswire)
