
A vehicle travelling on the Southern Expressway caught fire on Friday afternoon (05) after crashing into the rear of a bowser that was watering plants near the 160km post.
The car, which was allegedly driven in an unsafe manner, collided with the bowser before bursting into flames. Several people, including small children, were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Motorists travelling behind managed to rescue the occupants, who have reportedly sustained minor injuries. Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
