Sri Lankan Ambassador to China, Majintha Jayesinghe, has met with Liu Jun, President of Beijing Capital Airlines Co., Ltd., to finalize plans for the launch of direct flights between Beijing and Colombo.
According to the Sri Lankan Embassy in China, the new service is scheduled to commence on 31 January 2026, marking a significant step in strengthening air connectivity between Sri Lanka and China.
The direct route is expected to boost both inbound and outbound tourism, opening new opportunities for travellers and enhancing bilateral ties. (Newswire)
