A group of 21 estate workers from the Hapugastenna Lower Division in the Mousakelle area of Maskeliya have donated Rs. 1,000 each from their wages to the government’s Rebuild Sri Lanka Fund.
The workers said they were proud to contribute in any way possible to support those affected by recent national disaster.
The group expressed their happiness in being able to assist fellow citizens in need, despite their own economic challenges.
They described the gesture as a small but meaningful way to show solidarity during difficult times. (Newswire)
